Our seats at IREE 2019 in New Delhi

During 22 to 24 October FAINSA exhibited our seats at IREE 2019 ( Indian Rail Equipment Exhibition) in New Delhi, India.

FAINSA had already supplied First and Standard class seats on the very prestigious Vande Bharat Express Train, the first semi High Speed (max 160km/h) electric train built fully in India. This project was code named “Train 18” because the train was designed and built from scratch in only 18 months by Integral Coach Factory in Chennai.  Here at IREE, we showcased the very same MD seat presented for First Class in Vande Bharat Express. This specification demanded a high degree passenger amenities such a huge recline, power sockets to every single place and a huge table.  The seat even rotated 180 degrees to give a passenger a choice of airline or a bay configuration.

The market is also dramatically growing with new Metro trains.  FAINSA is the incumbent seat supplier to Delhi Metro (DMRC) RS10 project that was one of the largest contracts for Metro style cars in the world.  Here, FAINSA exceed a particular challenge of a fold-up bench along the assembly being fully waterproofed.  This innovation allowed Rotem, the train builder,  to safely and efficiently stow away important electrical equipment.  So during the IREE fair, FAINSA also presented a very similar DMRC RS10 design but this time fitting some newly formed stainless steel shells.  This new innovation certainly indeed created a wealth of interest from different Indian regions.

There was an anticipated 12,000 visitors to the Fair and we certainly did our best to answer every single question that was asked.
