Compin partners with the launching of the TGV Compin takes its mark in the southeast TGV (High-Speed French train), the first line of its kind and a great success for SNCF, the French national railway company. Each new TGV generation brings its share of innovations, which led to seats with an injected design, entirely trimmed with velvet. During the 90’s, Compin increased its efforts in order to design and deliver a series of new products for trains such as of the Thalys or the TGV Duplex.

Compin forges agreements in trains and metros in the Paris area The partnership between the RATP company (the Public transportation operator for the Paris region) allows Compin to expand : the company grows to have seats placed present in every metro and train of the RATP network.

Fainsa launches its High-Speed products In cooperation with Compin, Fainsa launches its line of seats for High-Speed Lines.

Compin Fainsa enters the US market With the award of 2 major contracts (AMTRAK Acelia High Speed Train Seat and Metra Commuter Seat) the Group starts its activity in the United States and settled a production unit in Wayland (NC) from Dec 2020 paving the path for new orders.

Fainsa becomes leader of the UK Railways Seat market Thanks to its competitiveness, commercial aggressivity and seat product range (ComRail, MD, Sophia) the Fainsa seat has been selected for different platforms of the main car builders (Bombardier, Hitachi, Siemens and CAF).

Compin Polska moves into a new plant In summer 2019 Compin Polska relocates in a brand-new building of 11,000 sqm in order to absorb the growth due to major projects acquired in 2017 and 2018. In parallel Compin Polska started the vertical integration of key processes: foaming injection, plastic injection and powder painting.

Compin Fainsa acquires the Coach Seat manufacturer Ozyildiz in Bursa, Turkey In December 2019 Fainsa takes over the company Ozyildis to create the Bus&Coach Business Unit; The Bursa plant enables Compin Fainsa to improve its competitiveness on the Bus&Coach Seat market thanks to its cost effective plant and Engineering center.

Compin Fainsa extends its Seat design for Central Europe Surfing on its success from 2010 to 2015 in Germany Compin Fainsa develops 2 new Seats (STARRAIL and MONTREUX) for the German and Swiss markets to offer an improved comfort to the Intercity and Regional passengers.
